On Sunday 24th April, a total of 22 tractors arrived at South Farm, East Meon for our annual Spring Road Run. We would like to thank the Atkinson family for hosting us and allowing the use of their yard.
The route was organised by James Knowles and headed up out of the farmyard and up onto the downs and took in the views of the surrounding area. It then turned down tracks and small lanes and looped back around to East Meon village. After going through the pretty village, the route turned up towards Old Winchester Hill, where several large tractors towing muck spreaders were met. A few members had to pull off the road to let them pass. Once on the top road everyone pulled over to take in the views and to stretch their legs.
The route then turned down a track and headed to Clanfield village, from Clanfield the route wound its way back towards the downs and then eventually dropped back to our starting point at South Farm.
On arrival back at the farm, everyone enjoyed a tasty lunch organised by the Atkinson Family.
Everyone who attended had a great day and the weather stayed fine.
